Sunday Night Cookies

Sunday night, Avery and I made and decorated some cookies. Avery did a very good job with the red icing.
And she thoroughly enjoyed her cookies. Please note she is wearing her Merida dress again :)

Family Photos

Before Pup and Katie left we took some photos. I really need to quit thinking I can dress like a hobo because I just had a baby but I'm going to enjoy that a little longer.

Avery even took a couple shots of everyone! But unfortunately, she had the camera turned backwards...

Zoo Lights

Saturday night we took everyone to see the Zoo Lights. Which were really awesome! It was cold so we had to get very dressed up but it was worth it.

Avery and Daddy took pictures as elves.
And Katie took a picture as an elf too!
This was what Piper wore for her second ever outing. She was a real champ the entire visit.
This is what she looked like at the zoo.

Piper's First Outing!

We all went to Chik-fil-A on Saturday morning. It was Piper's first outing! And it was very cold so we had to get pretty dressed up. Look how cute Avery is in her new outfit and cool hat.
Piper also wore a cool hat, and a sweet hoodie.

Piper hung out a little but mainly let Daddy hold her. She was very good the entire time and just watched everything.
Avery got to play for awhile with Katie.
And Avery held hands through the parking lot, which is important for safety, especially if you can't see because your silly Mom let your hat get in your eyes!

Pup and Katie

On Friday night Pup and Katie came to visit! They loved on Piper.

And Pup and Daddy gave Avery a Lewis Sandwich!
Of course Katie brought Avery presents including a dress like Merida from Brave! Avery has worn it every day since.

All Alone?

Oma and Pop pop left to go to the Lake on Thursday and we were all on our own for Thursday night and Friday morning! Avery and I read the Tickle Monster book, with the tickling gloves.
We loved on Piper, with a dirty mouth :)

 And Daddy and Piper lounged.
Avery also played with her Princess Castle and sang along with all the songs she knew.
And Avery finished off Pop pop's chili, with some apples, and 2 drinks.
Piper hung out in her swing, a little, and tried out a pacifier! She is still not sure what she thinks though.

Additional Christmas Outfits

One of the perks of being born so close to Christmas is the plethora of Christmas outfits! Here are some of the outfits Piper showed off last week.

 Gotta love iron on letters!!
And she even fit in her stocking! Though it was pretty snug...

Pie

Avery also tried pumpkin pie for the first time! She told us, multiple times, how much she loved it. And it wasn't even Oma's famous recipe :)

Avery and Piper

Avery has been so sweet with Piper. She has been giving her kisses.
And watching her while she swings. Though Avery does not like it when Piper cries. She told Piper, "I don't want to hear that, Piper. I have little ears!"

On the mat

Piper tried out her mat for the first time, but it did not last too long. She likes being held much better.

More Singing

It was super cold today so we stayed inside and Avery shared some of her wonderful singing with us.

Lounging

After dinner, we lounged and Oma caught up on her email. Piper is loving the boppy pillow.

Christmas Dinner

We had a very nice Christmas dinner with Oma and Pop pop. Turns out Avery loves cranberries, who knew?  She really loved Aunt Ann's cranberries!

Christmas!

On Christmas morning, Avery woke up to a visit from Santa! She got tons of great stuff, I guess her elf, Cooper a/k/a Mr. Elf, told Santa how good she had been this year.

 She really loved her microphone.
The Rogers came over and helped us open presents.
After all the opening, the kids played with all their new stuff! Avery loved everything but the new kitchen wares were a big hit.
So was a present from last year, a helmet.
But the helmet went really well with her new BIKE! Thanks, Oma and Pop pop!
She also played with her new princess castle, even though it took awhile to get it put together (we lots all the screws).
And she loved her new backpack. Lots of missing things have magically appeared in this backpack...
