Sisters

Avery asked to hold Piper today. Unfortunately, it was when Piper was not in the best mood. This was the best picture I could get. Avery is a great big sister.

Nap in the Crib?

In the afternoon, Piper took a nap in her crib!! But it was short lived.

The Park

Sunday morning Avery and I went to the park all by ourselves.

We had a good time but we sure missed Nolan.

Caden

The Cheatham's came over for dinner on Saturday night and Avery and Caden had a great time on the swing set. We put the Daddys to work pushing the kids.

And we had lobster for dinner! Caden kept calling it monster and Avery was caught several times stealing lobster off Caden's plate when he wasn't looking. At one time, he got up to play and Avery told him, "Caden, if you don't come back I'm going to eat your lobster!" He came running back.

Daniel and Laura

After the zoo, Daniel and Laura came over ot meet Piper! Avery was taking a well deserved nap. They just got married and don't have any kids but they were getting the hang of holding a baby.
 Kind of. :)
But they got it figured all out and Piper even fell asleep and gave us some smiles! She isn't quite smiling while awake yet so you have to take what you can get.
Then Piper went back to Daddy and passed out again.

Zoo!

Saturday morning we went to the zoo! Along with the entire city. Daddy and Avery checked out tons of animals.

And after about an hour, Daddy carried Piper in the bjorn. She slept the entire trip.
Avery then decided she wanted to feed the fish some of her goldfish, a little cannabilistic but whatever. It generally went one for Avery,
 One for the fish!
We ran into Rowan from school at the zoo, also feeding the fish! So we hung out for a little bit.
Daddy and Rowan's Daddy stayed close to make sure everyone was safe.

Halifax

When I take shower, Piper parties in her bouncey chair. The other day, Halifax came to check her out! She seemed to think that was funny.

Feet

You just forget how small a new baby is. Look at those feet and toes!

A day in the life of Piper

Piper spends most of her days hanging out. But she likes to switch it out. So, we do a blanket or mat on the floor. This one was made by Oma for Avery.
And of course she is ubuer cute while stretching on both her back and her tummy. Check out her adorable pants with the bows (Thanks, Aunt Becky!).
And she hangs out in her bouncey chair while I drink gallons of water (note the large sippy cup). Again, always cute. There is also lots of cuddling with Mom and Dad but you have seen lots of those pictures, at least of Daddy.

Piper getting Bigger

Piper just hit the one month mark! These are some photos of her posing on her bed with her Piggy.
It's not super easy to sit up these days though...

Piper's Quilt

This is the quilt Karen made for Piper. Isn't it beautiful!
Right now it is a little large for Piper but we are sure she will be growing into it in no time!

While I was taking pictures, Piper got a little upset with me and how long I was taking.
But she got over it pretty fast. What a good girl!

More Tea Party Pictures

Here are more photos from the excellent tea party! These are the tea bags Karen made for all future tea parties (we had another one last night with just Avery and Daddy).
Avery was very excited and had to get dressed up in her Merida (Brave) dress and a tiara, but then switched tiaras with me several times (which explains the different tiaras in the pictures).

Avery and Momma "clinking" their tea cups.

Avery giving cookies to her guests.
And pouring tea for her guests.
She is such a good hostess!

Photo Shoot

Piper got a photo shoot! Unfortunately, she did not want to sleep. Tess, the photographer, spent a lot of time trying to get her to sleep. It eventually worked.

Tea Party!

On Sunday morning, Avery got all dressed up and we had a tea party! We even pulled out Avery's real tea set for the first time (thanks, Cat!) And Karen made Avery tea bags to use at all her future tea parties with her initial on them.

Avery's favorite part was the cookies, also courtesy of Kirsten and Karen.
We "clinked" our cups and tuck out our pinkies, just like you are supposed to. And we all wore head gear! I wore a tiara.

Kirsten and Karen wore hats and a necklace that Kirsten fashioned into a headpiece.
Avery even invited her Merida and Rapunzel dolls to join, but they had to use plastic cups because they aren't always careful and the real set is breakable.
Avery even documented the party with her own camera.
