Swimming

We also got in the big pool. Avery and Daddy did lots of splashing.

And Avery had us all do "Ring Around the Rosey."

And Megan even got in to help Avery with her swimming moves.

The Pool

After crawfish, we hit up the pool! Yeah for it being open!
Piper worked on her sitting skills! She is getting so big.
But it really wore her out so then she slept.
Avery got an ice cream sandwich, her new favorite pool treat.
And Daddy and Avery enjoyed the splash pad!
Avery got really brave and stood under the big bucket that drops water!

Piper and I watched everyone being brave.
But we were not the only spectators. Eric never even got in! Wimp.

Crawfish!

Tuesday we went to eat crawfish! Well, the ones that could handle the heat! And that included...
 Avery!! She loves "little lobsters!"
Her Daddy taught her that if her mouth got too hot, she could eat sugar. Mistake? YES!!

We all had a blast!

Hanging at the House

The girls stayed home with all our visitors for the week. Piper and Avery showed off Piper's mat.
And even talked Oma into joining them!
And Piper joined them in dressing up!

What pretty girls!

Jack's Cage

Avery was very interested in Jack's cage. First she wanted to put some babies to sleep in the cage.

While she rocked another baby to sleep.

But later, we found this...

Monday

On Monday we tried to go to the pool, but it was closed. So we set up a sprinkler in the backyard. Jack loved the sprinkler!
I challenged Grandma to a seed spitting contest, which I lost miserably.
Avery enjoyed the sprinkler with Jack by running in circles.
And Ann taught Avery how to cheat at horseshoes. Essentially, you stand right next to the "stick," throw your horseshoe around it, and yell "Ringer!"

Pipe enjoyed all the action from a safe distance.

Leaving the Lake

Sunday morning, Avery helped her Oma make her famous waffles!
 She mainly supervised.
And we took a couple of photos.
Piper was unimpressed.
